Tankanjoki is 5-10 narrow river with it's own flow of 2-4 km/h. No rapids on the way, but due to many turns quite a lot of maneuvering needed.
Self-guided canoeing trip on Tankajoki river
Itinerary:
Meeting in Ivalo or Saariselka Transportation to the put-in point of the trip (Tankapirtti, E75 road). Canoeing down Tankajoki river to Purnumukka village, 17km. Pick up and transportation back to Saariselka and Ivalo.

Duration: 2-5 hours
-canoe, kayak rental - 50 euros per boat with all necessary equipment. We have double and triple canoes, single and double kayaks.

Prices:
-transportation from Ivalo (Saariselka) to put-in point / pick up from take-out point back to Saariselka (Ivalo) - 190 euros per group (max. 8 person in minibus)
For example, if you are a group of 4 persons and you need 2 canoes, total group price would be 290 euros or 72,50 euros per person.
